News: Two children hurt in rear-end crash in Oak Grove
OAK GROVE, MO – A 5-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy were hospitalized after a crash on the westbound lanes of I-70 Monday.
Missouri State Troopers arrived at the scene around 2 p.m., according to the MSHP Live Traffic Report Page.
A driver of an unspecified vehicle made an unsafe lane change and crashed into the back of a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The impact caused the Chevrolet to slide, travel off the right side of the road, and crash into a railway.
The driver of a 2020 Toyota Highlander then hit the back of the Chevrolet. Eventually, the Chevrolet stopped in the middle of the freeway.
The driver of the first vehicle fled the scene after the collision happened.
The drivers were not hurt, but the two children from the Chevrolet were taken to Centerpoint Hospital for minor injuries.
