News: Man dead after Pleasant Hill train, pickup truck crash
PLEASANT HILL, MO – A driver was left dead after a two-vehicle crash on Hereford Road Tuesday morning.
Missouri State Troopers arrived at the scene before 9:30 a.m., the MSHP Traffic Report Page showed.
A driver of a 2022 Ford FCO did not stop at a stop sign and went in front of an Amtrak train. The train hit the driver’s side of the Ford, and the driver was thrown from his vehicle.
The Ford driver was identified as 34-year-old Patrick Metz of Kansas City.
Metz succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
